Lucy Montgomery is Professor of Knowledge Innovation at Curtin University, where she leads the Curtin Open Knowledge Initiative. Her research focuses on the ways in which open knowledge is transforming landscapes of knowledge production, sharing, and use. She has been involved in the open access scholarly book space since 2012 and is Research Director of COARD: a not-for-profit consultancy specialising in open access books.

Martin is the University Librarian at University of New South Wales. He is also the Chair of Open Access Australasia, Chair of the Global Sustainability Coalition of Open Science Services (SCOSS), Chair of the Go8 Librarians Committee, a member of CAUL Council, member of the CAUL Procurement Committee, and a Director on the Board for CAVAL. Martin advocates for open access and open science. He has previously worked with Queensland University of Technology, Griffith University, and University of Queensland.

Working in the library sector since the mid-1990s, Em has been a part of Swinburne’s institutional repository team since 2014. Her role has developed over time to what it is today: developing and managing repository content, and delivering services in support of scholarly communications.

Currently, Eleanor focus on ways to embed information, digital, and research literacy skills across the different career stages of a researcher… and wondering if they would like to know this is occurring or if it should be done by stealth. Eleanor’s interests lie in the intersection of Information Management and Research Management, library services interacting with the research lifecycle, and discussing the places and spaces of cross-boundary professionals in tertiary institutions. Eleanor probably drink too much tea and look forward to wearing lots of cardigans this winter.

Steven leads open educational resources (OER) advocacy at La Trobe. He is passionate about equity in higher education, and coordinates a Library as Open Publisher model that empowers communities to create OERs through the La Trobe eBureau.

Steven’s career has spanned diverse areas including medical librarianship, research data management, and open repository advocacy. He is the former chief editor of Health Inform. Outside his day to day job, Steven’s research interests are in Marxist theory and practice.
